Needle mesotherapy involves injecting active substances into deep skin layers by means of injection. It is used to delay aging, revitalize and nourish the skin, as well as to stimulate and regenerate hair follicles. Needle mesotherapy can be performed on almost every area of the body, including the delicate eye area. The treatment is used to delay aging, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, it also helps with smoothing, deep nourishing and moisturizing, revitalizing, evening out, reducing discoloration and shallow scars, including acne, lightening the skin under the eyes, tightening the skin of the neck and neckline, as well as nourishing the scalp and preventing baldness. Needle mesotherapy is one of the best known, proven and effective treatments used for skin revitalization.
Needle mesotherapy is highly effective, much more than using skin care products, because the preparation is introduced deep, even up to 4 mm deep into the skin, exactly where we want it. An additional advantage is the time the active substance remains in the cells. However, this is not the only advantage of needle mesotherapy. Dense punctures strongly stimulate the production of elastin, collagen and fibroblasts.
Active substances used in needle mesotherapy include mainly: hyaluronic acid, vitamins A, C, E and others, minerals, coenzymes, amino acids, nucleic acids and peptides.
At what age can needle mesotherapy be performed?
Most people with indications for the treatment are over 30 years old. However, the procedure itself can be performed after 25 years of age. The preparations are selected individually according to the needs of the skin.
How many treatments and how often should be performed?
It is best to start with a series of about 4-6 treatments performed every 10-14 days. Then, to maintain the effect, it is good to repeat the treatment every 2-4 months.
What does the treatment involve?
At the beginning, makeup is removed. A local Lidocaine-based anesthetic is applied on cleansed and disinfected skin. After about 30 minutes the injection starts, which for the facial-neck-neckline area takes about 30-45 minutes. Finally, a soothing arnica gel is applied to the face.
How long the procedure takes:
The injection itself, depending on the body area, takes about 20-30 minutes, plus the time needed for the anesthetic to work, that is about 30 minutes.
How long does it take to recover?
Immediately after the treatment, punctures are visible and it is best to go home. If someone decides to undergo the treatment for the first time, we recommend to book an appointment on Friday to observe how quickly it takes for the skin to heal. However, in many cases, the skin recovers overnight so much that hardly any traces are visible.
Depending on the method of application of the preparation to the skin and the number of punctures, there are three types of mesotherapy: needle, micro-needle and needleless.
Microneedling is performed with a special device equipped with cartridges/rollers of different needle lengths. The length and number of needles is selected based on the body area to be treated, the condition and thickness of the skin and the age of the client. During the treatment an ampoule with professional preparation is applied to the skin, selected according to individual needs.
