The Mawawo beauty salon was established in 2017 in the Mokotów district of Warsaw. It was founded by Magda Wolińska, whose dream was to set up a place offering primarily effective treatments, performed on high-quality equipment and yet at available prices. Before opening the beauty salon, Magda worked in two corporations where she learnt the European labor standards, the meaning of hard work, but also the appreciation of local businesses in which the customer is not just a number in an Excel table, but a person who would like to feel better, spend a good time, boost self-confidence.
"Starting my own business, it was never my intention to make Mawawo the biggest or the most fashionable beauty salon, nor a place offering the fastest treatments. My greatest joy is the fact that nearly 100% of our customers return to us. I think this is mainly because we are fully focused on doing our job right and creating a homely, relaxed atmosphere for the customer. We just like each other and we like what we do".
The first service offered at Mawawo was laser hair removal. We decided to acquire the Cynsure Palomar Vectus laser, still considered to be the most effective in the world. Magda's commitment propelled by Vectus’ unparalleled performance helped us gather a group of loyal customers in a relatively short time. Most new customers visit us upon recommendation, which confirms that we have chosen the right path and which allows us to offer our services at reasonable prices since we do not need to spend a lot on advertising.
We always take into consideration our customers’ comments and we willingly implement improvements that make our services even better. My customers often mentioned that it would be convenient for them to do the manicure, pedicure, as well as eyebrow shaping and tinting, along with the hair removal treatment.
This is one of the reasons why we welcomed Marina in our Mawawo team. For 10 years, Marina has been professionally involved with cosmetics, and she was one of the most well-known manicure experts in her native Ukraine. She graduated from the Institute of Manicure Crafts, as well as a number of manicure, pedicure, eyebrow shaping and makeup courses. Our customers appreciate Marina particularly for her professional accuracy, the ability to correct and choose the right shape of the nail plate, and last but not least, her sophisticated aesthetic sense. At Mawawo, we not only have at our disposal supplies and equipment that are not only suited for virtually any type of nail design, but we also know how to make the most of these tools.
"When I was getting ready to open my salon, I wanted it to be a place where customers would be treated as well as people who work in it. I wanted it to be different from chain parlors where I would meet a new lady every time, without really knowing what to expect. I wanted the services in my salon to be well-thought-out and have a guaranteed effect. Today, I take great pride in looking at what I have accomplished and I know that this is just the beginning for us. However, I hope that despite the growth of Mawawo as a brand, our mission and goals will remain the same.”
At our salon, we took care that everyone feels comfortable and welcome. That is why we have designated a separate room for parents who visit us with their children. The children's room comes with a lot of games, toys, coloring books, storyboards and a painting board. This solution was appreciated by moms who can now easily do treatments without fear that their child will get restless because they are bored. On the other hand, those who do not necessarily want to interact with children can spend time with us in a cozy ambiance of the other room. Each treatment room is isolated from the rest of the parlor, which guarantees discretion.
The Mawawo beauty salon is located in a very nice area, surrounded by many restaurants and cafes, a park and a playground. It is easy to reach us both by car and public transport. There is a free parking zone in the area.
